Ransomware recovery for manufacturing company​

Resolved IT was contacted by an IT Manager on a Friday afternoon at 4:30PM. The business had been affected by ransomware, 250+ computers and 30+ virtual servers were totally locked and unusable. Employee productivity was ground to a halt. Resolved IT presented this business with a proposal based on an hourly rate and went to work right away. Two technicians worked a combined 30 hours over the weekend and were able to completely wipe and restore all computers to a usable state, restore all data back to servers, deploy anti-encryption and anti-malware software, deploy e-mail spam and malware/phishing filtering, deploy new hardware firewalls to several locations, and identify where the attack originated from. The following week our CEO gave a presentation to staff in a mandatory all-hands virtual meeting on: 1. What happened 2. How it happened and 3. How to identify a phishing e-mail attack. This client is now fully serviced by Resolved IT with a co-Managed IT agreement, in which we collaborate with their IT Manager to deliver reliable, secure, and fast IT infrastructure.

Infrastructure upgrades for business law firm

Resolved IT was contacted by a law firm’s Office Manager to identify some ways to improve their existing file system. During our initial consultation, Resolved IT was able to identify several security issues present on the network and included these as optional items in our IT Solutions proposal. Thanks to our highly detailed proposal, the client understood the level of risk they were taking by not having a hardware firewall and anti-virus on every computer. Over the course of a weekend the team at Resolved IT performed a zero-downtime file system migration to the cloud, implemented a hardware firewall in the head office, and deployed anti-virus to each computer.
